Wiz Khalifa Countersued By Rostrum Records
.
(Radio.com) Wiz Khalifa filed suit against former label Rostrum Records earlier this year for a "360 deal" he deemed shortchanged him. Now Rostrum has filed a countersuit against Khalifa, claiming that the label is entitled to outstanding payments in excess of $2 million accrued from several of the rapper's revenue streams. "Rostrum is informed and believes, and on that basis alleges, that the Publishing Royalties, Tour Royalties and Merchandise Royalties that [Khalifa] currently owes Rostrum, but has failed to pay in breach of the Operative Agreement, exceed $2 million," claims the suit, according to Rolling Stone. In his original filing, Wiz sought $1 million from Rostrum. The rapper claimed he was "induced" to sign a deal against his best financial interests. Read more here.
