Chameleon Technology - Blank Canvas
At times, Histrionic can sound like Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. "Lifestyle Science" is an example of this influences as Histrionic's voice has a bit of a pop-punk-jazzy-swagger, much like Armstrong. In fact, the music for "Self Repair" swings a bit, as Histrionic drops the screaming, and replaces this with actual singing.
Both "No Safe Word" and "Serin's Vending," however, are quite scream-y. The tracks are fast, loud and short - all over and done, almost before you know it. The title track includes a yelled "Hey!" on its chorus that reminds you of Nirvana - only faster.
Sometimes you hear punk rock and wonder to yourself, 'I'll be this band can't do anything else but punk.' Not so with Chameleon Technology, though. This is a talented guy/act that just chooses to punk out for his angriest statements.
