The inaugural release from Hear Music brought McCartney his highest chart debut in ten years as a solo artist (1997's "Flaming Pie" debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart). Matt still with Hell Within
PR reports: To set the record straight Matt Mc Chesney is not leaving HELL WITHIN. Matt is helping THE AUTUMN OFFERING (Victory Records) out in a bad situation. He is only recording an album for the THE AUTUMN OFFERING. They have no singer and they need to get a record done. It was wrong of the band to post "formerly of Hell Within"; he is not formerly of HELL WITHIN, Matt is in HELL WITHIN. HELL WITHIN is Matt's main band and THE AUTUMN OFFERING is a side project.

HELL WITHIN will be touring with Matt on an East Coast run that is shaping up for August in support of their new record "Shadows Of Vanity". HELL WITHIN is not looking for another vocalist. HELL WITHIN with Matt as the lead man will see you soon.- Click Here for the Full Story

Edison's Medicine for Poets & Pornstars
PR reports: Sunset Strip rock darlings Poets & Pornstars today announced that they will open for Tesla on the West Coast leg of their U.S. Tour. More than four decades after its countercultural beginnings, Los Angeles' famed stretch of live-music venues continues to draw bands cranking out what bandmember Hal Ozsan calls "down-and-dirty three-chord rock." Poets & Pornstars' oeuvre is a particularly spectacular example of the form, demonstrated by their eponymous debut album (due Aug. 21, 2007, on Wenzl-Hopper Records/Adrenaline Music Group).

Monday, June 11 House of Blues San Diego, CA
Tuesday, June 12 Dodge Theater Phoenix, AZ

Damiera Return
PR reports: After a brief two-month hiatus, Damiera have returned to writing and performing music with a brand new lineup.

Back in April, three fourths of Damiera left the band to pursue other goals. The departing members were "seeking satisfaction elsewhere," says continuing member and vocalist Dave Raymond, "they wanted to take another road for now... without having to be committed to a group setting."

The new members consist of guitarist Steve Downs and drummer Josh Sparks, formerly of the Iowa-based band Spirit of the Stairway, and Jayson Dezuzio, a long time professional producer whose resume includes work with Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, and more. Dezuzio also produced the latest Damiera album, M(US)IC, which was released in January.- Click Here for the Full Story

Guinness Book Reject DevilDriver Pit
PR reports: With thousands of fans trampling barricades, smashing into each other, and helping DevilDriver create one of its best performances ever, we thought the Guinness Book of World Records would want to certify the circle pit from Download 2007 as the biggest in history. Turns out not so much. Here's what Guinness told us.

Thank you for sending us the details of your recent record proposal for 'Largest Circle Pit'. We are afraid to say that we are unable to accept this as a Guinness World Record.

Unfortunately, as there is no way you can physically definie (sic) where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends, we cannot accept this as a category. We receive over 60,000 enquiries a year from which only a small proportion are approved by our experienced researchers to establish new categories. - Click Here for the Full Story

iPod Coverage Week: California Roll and Reflect
PR reports: We continue our iPod coverage week with a look at the coolest case yet-- The California Roll! We also look at the Reflect case.

California Roll: A couple of inches longer than a standard billfold, The California Roll works much like a wallet with three pockets inside that can accommodate your iPod, cell phone and earbuds. I tried it out with my iPod video with the iClear case still on and it fit perfectly in the center pocket. I then stashed by Razr phone in the left pocket and took my earbuds and put those in the right pocket, folded it up and worked the elastic strap over and I had a nice snug carrier for my iPod and phone. You could use the pockets for id, credit cards, cash etc. It's only limited by your imagination and the size of the pocket. It's a little too big to use like a wallet (and far too bulky once you have it loaded up. Plus who would sit on an expensive iPod?) but I've found it's a great way keep my iPod and phone safe when I'm on the go. It comes in a variety of colors as well. Check them at the full story link.

Reflect: The Reflect is a hard plastic iPod case with a mirrored front and a black back. The iPod snaps in just like an iClear case and again it's a little hard to open the case once the iPod is in it but it's nothing a coin in the notch won't solve. It gives your iPod a chrome look and surprisingly you can see your screen clearly when the iPod is on. The drawback to this case is the reflective front is prone to fingerprint smudges (like the back of the naked iPod) and it doesn't come with a clip. But if you're looking for a sharp looking case that will protect your iPod from everyday abuse, the Reflect should do the trick. - Click Here for the Full Story
