Moonalice Add Heavy Hitting Drummer To Their Lineup
PR reports: Moonalice have welcomed a new member of their tribe with the addition of drummer John Molo into the band. A Grammy-winning member of Bruce Hornsby's band for nearly 15 years, Molo has also logged kit time with Phil Lesh & Friends, The Other Ones, John Fogerty, Keller Williams and many more. Molo replaces Jim Sanchez, who has left the band for personal reasons but remains a dear friend and member of the Moonalice tribe.

"This was meant to be," said Molo. "I was in San Francisco last week and had a premonition that I should call Moonalice. I had no idea they were auditioning drummers, but they were. It's great to be part of the tribe."

"John is a fantastic drummer with a deep understanding of American music. He is perfect for Moonalice," said GE Smith, the band's musical director. "We can't wait to get back on the road!!!"

Vadar Complete New Album
Metal Underground reports: Vader has revealed that they have completed work on their new studio album, "Necropolis." A message from frontman Peter Wiwczarek reads: "Monday, May 18th is the day, when the new album Necropolis was finished!!! The last act of the process was a flight to Aarhus in Denmark and my visit at AntFarm Studio. During next two days me and Tue were working on the character of new record and some details in the mix. Next days are Tue Madsen's solitary work in silence of His studio. The result is tremendous!!! New songs sound powerful and still mysterious. The cover art (created by Jacek Wisniewski) being so much different then previous works is so magical as well.

"The whole graphics fulfill the Music on the album. It will contain 11 songs, 33 minutes and 33 seconds of real breath of chaos. There are two bonus tracks on special edition, which are classics in metal, also big part of HQ footage from Vader charity show in Krakow, which was our help for Covan (Adrian Kowanek - former VADER singer) and his recovery after serious car accident.

"The third part of Gates To Necropolis- studio report will be available this week. More secrets about the recordings of guitars, bass or vocals shall be told. The last but not least, the fourth part of the report will be done in next two weeks. We will close up the guest in Necropolis session, also shots from AntFarm studio in Denmark. And we're looking forward to see you on the shows soon!"

A.A. Bondy Tour Plans
PR reports: A.A. Bondy will hit the road for a summer tour next month, beginning June 5th at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA and ending July 7th at Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge, LA.

Bondy is also confirmed to perform this weekend at the Sasquatch Music Festival in Quincy, WA and June 14th at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN.

Spare and arresting with timeless appeal, the album was an underground favorite among fans and critics. Bondy performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, while NPR noted in a 'Song of the Day' pick: "By the time 'How Will You Meet Your End' reaches its own dramatic and doomstruck end, Bondy has cemented his status as a fatalistic troubadour with few modern peers." Bondy is currently in a Mississippi studio finishing his sophomore album; a release date on Fat Possum will be announced soon. - more on this story

Elephant In Guitar for Apples in Stereo Star
Submitted News reports: Colorado based luthier Andrew Scott has created a one of a kind Elephant 6 guitar for The Apples in Stereo's Robert Schneider. The guitar, a playable piece of art made out of meteorite, elephant bones and combination of Walnut and Poplar woods, and shaped to play and perform much like a super-charged version of Schneider's Danelectro DC-3.

Scott came up with the idea in order to celebrate Schneider's role in the long-enduring and profoundly influential Elephant 6 Collective which spawned The Apples in stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control and numerous other members of their friendly confab.

"This Blindworm guitar plays incredibly well. It is the coolest, most beautiful, psychedelic guitar I have ever played!" enthuses Schneider. "The inlaid Elephant 6 logo is made of meteorite dust, and on the headstock, the elephant's eyes are made of dinosaur bones. It feels like I am holding a living creature." - more on this story

. Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown
To me this album is a bit like the Beatles going from Sgt Pepper to the Magical Mystery Tour. Taking on its own, its a strong effort but taken in context of the history it has to live up to, its not outstanding. (3 stars) - Read the full Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown review

. Crown the Lost - Blind Faith Loyalty
Putting it in simple terms, Crown the Lost is just another dazzled band failing at a concrete identity that clearly doesn't represent a likeable foundation no matter which way one slices it. - Read the full Crown the Lost - Blind Faith Loyalty review
