40 Years After
PR reports: Although it's been 40 years since Ten Years After first took shape, the upcoming Anniversary Tour will show the quartet is still firing on all cylinders. "We're determined to give them as good a time as we have playing for them," says Lyons. "It's a real pleasure to be back on tour. We'll play a selection of the most requested songs from our earlier records plus new material from 'Now' (2004) and 'Roadworks' (2005). We'll also be slipping in some as-yet-unrecorded material. After the show we'll come out to meet our fans and sign any albums or CD's they bring along."

And if the upcoming tour wasn't enough to satisfy longtime fans, Lee unveiled that the group is also currently hard at work on an all-new studio set.[see full story for more including dates]- Click Here for the Full Story

GNR Meet Misfits with Trashlight Vision
PR reports: The NYC-based four-piece Trashlight Vision, that bills itself as "sleazy trash/punk rock n' roll," has signed with Rock Ridge Music and will be releasing their album, "Alibis and Ammunition" nationally on July 10th. The album features 12 tracks of turbo-charged rock that is both uncompromising and in-your-face. The first single, "Allergic To You," will ship to radio in early June. Prior to signing with Rock Ridge, Trashlight Vision had already completed three UK tours on their own and with no label support. They have played on three continents (Asia, Europe and North America), and shared the stage with everyone from Backyard Babies to The Buzzcocks. Foreshadowing Sign to Candlelight
PR reports: Candlelight Records is proud to welcome the new prophets of slow decay, the italian gothic-doom band THE FORESHADOWING, on the way to release their debut full-length album "Days of Nothing", out in Europe on October 22nd.

"Days of Nothing" is THE FORESHADOWING first chapter of apocalypse. The band combines ambient and epic atmospheres with powerful guitar riffs into 10 tracks of melodic doom metal reminding My Dying Bride, Katatonia and Anathema basing on the concept of the monotony of life, waiting for the apocalypse that is to come. THE FORESHADOWING aim, says the band, is to bring you into an atom-sphere of apocalyptic tragedy and alienation from humanity and everyday life with a moody and powerful music. "We don't feel part of this world and we don't need to believe in any creed, convention or lifestyle. We just wait for a right end of this wrong and cruel world".[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Jerry Lee Lewis DVD
PR reports: Jerry Lee Lewis is back, and Time Life has gathered all of his epic television appearances - performances so wild and uninhibited that they completely reshaped rock music into one DVD collection, JERRY LEE LEWIS: GREATEST LIVE PERFORMANCES. Set for release on May 22, it is the first-ever fully authorized, historical retrospective DVD by this music icon, and follows Time Life's critically and commercially successful 3-CD box set, JERRY LEE LEWIS: A HALF-CENTURY OF HITS (released in 2006).

Jerry Lee Lewis: Greatest Live Performances features 17 unforgettable live performances and two bonus pieces from the 50s through the 90s. The DVD includes Lewis' first television appearance, his momentous 1957 performance of "Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On" for the Steve Allen Show and his memorable rendition of "Breathless" on the Dick Clark Show the only live performance ever in the history of that show. The collection also features Jerry Lee in Memphis premiering "Great Balls of Fire" on the Dewey Phillips Show. Perhaps most notable is Jerry Lee's own television special that aired to an ecstatic audience in England in 1964 and can be seen in its entirety for the first time since the day it aired. Two fabulous performances from the 1970s taken from Ralph Emery's Pop Goes the Country close out the DVD. On the first, Lewis sings the poignant "Who's Gonna Play This Old Piano," and on the second he joins his cousin Mickey Gilley at the piano for a boogie woogie medley. Additionally, the DVD contains one of the most comprehensive and revealing interviews Jerry Lee Lewis has ever done as a bonus feature. Shot at Sam Phillips' legendary Sun Records in Memphis, Lewis talks in depth about his first historic recordings and his relationship with Elvis Presley and other greats from the era.
