Circle of Fate Back To Life With Pop Metal CD
Glass Onyon reports: The music press is on fire with the second release by Chicago rock ensemble Circle of Fate. Described as "Pop rock with metal undertones", Circle of Fate's new CD 'Back To Life' is an amalgamation of catchy melodies and hooky rhythms. For the last 10 years the band has been captivating audiences all over the world.

Produced by Larry Sturm, who has worked with top music artists such as Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige and Disturbed, and who has said of Circle of Fate's new single, " 'My Religion' has all of the ingredients of a hit song!"

"The new CD took about one year to fully record," says guitarist Danny Charatin. "Circle of Fate went into the studio and recorded a three song demo off of the CD. After the demo we put the rest of the songs together and did pre-production. Once the band felt we could get in and knock it out we went back to the studio, which was Pressure Point Studios in Chicago, and recorded the last seven songs in a 40 hour slot. This meant that the band went to work and came into the studio late at night and were there sometimes until 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning. It can be difficult to play your best when you are tired but the final result turned out great!" Circle of Fate has a wide range of influences which can be heard throughout the new CD. These influences include Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Heart, Dream Theater, Journey, Joe Satriani, Iron Maiden, Porcupine Tree, Steve Vai, Nickelback and Prince just to name just a few. - more on this story

Miggs in the Morning
PR reports: Three-piece pop-rock band MIGGS is set to perform their latest single, "Perfect," on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, July 7th. "'Good Morning America' prides itself on being on the cutting edge of bringing new artists to our viewers around the country," says ABC publicist Bridgette Maney. "We are looking forward to having Miggs join us at GMA."

"Getting the call to perform on GMA is the equivalent of winning a Grammy for an indie band like MIGGS," says lead singer Don Miggs. "It would take us two years to reach the number of people we will be able to with one three and a half minute appearance."

Premiere Radio Network will be teaming up with GMA and MIGGS to give two Premiere Radio listeners the chance to be first in line for the July 7th performance and to hang with the band. A portion of the proceeds from the promotion will support City of Hope, one of America's best cancer hospitals (as ranked by US News & World Report). Other artists who have taken part in supporting City of Hope include the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Honor Society, Plain White T's, and One Republic. Says Alissa Pollack of Premiere Radio Networks: "As Sr. VP of Music Initiatives for Premiere Radio Networks, I get the opportunity to work with a ton of new and developing talent as well as the existing superstars of today. When I was introduced to MIGGS, I instantly recognized them as a rising star and it is my pleasure to be a part of it all right now." - more on this story

If These Trees Could Talk Tour
PR reports: If These Trees Could Talk return with their long awaited full length album "Above the Earth, Below the Sky" and are hitting the road this summer to support it.

Recorded during the summer of 2008 under the watchful eye of Tim Gerak (6P7), the album is a dark emotional journey that picks up where the debut EP left off. With the roots of the album firmly planted within the industrial boomtown of Akron, Ohio, The Trees have made every effort to evoke the desperation and triumph felt by a city in despair and rebirth. Utilizing a dynamic range of auditory explorations fluctuating from delicate to deafening The Trees have once again provided their listeners a primed and ready canvas upon which they may paint their own visions of chaos and serenity. The types of images only seen when our eyes are closed or when the true nature of a world operating under insanity and irrationality is exposed.

While maintaining integrity in their music, The Trees have managed to forge their own artistic path in the face of many gimmick and copy-cat bands. They have managed to self-release and maintain steady sales of both their albums to date, while pairing up with The Mylene Sheath to release their albums in the vinyl format to rave reviews around the globe. - dates

Scarcity Of Tanks Tour
HWPR reports: "No Endowments" is the Total Life Society debut from Scarcity Of Tanks, recorded in Cleveland, Ohio and Oakland, California over the years 2007-2008 by Ted Wiggs Null Flynn, Paul Maccarone, Nate Scheible, and Weasel Walter (The Flying Luttenbachers). The band will be undertaking their first ever UK tour

The record demonstrates Scarcity Of Tanks more rock and roll side, with relatively tighter songs than witnessed by many of their live shows over the past five years. The band had played countless gigs across the U.S. before releasing any recordings because Wascovich wanted to flesh out SoT's sound before releasing a proper record.

For "No Endowments," he relied on getting his musical ideas across with old time punk Clevelanders Dave Cintron, Ted Wiggs Null Flynn, Andrew Klimek, Nate Scheible, Dan Wenniger and Oakland's Weasel Walter resulting in 11 songs of notable sounds that are parts rock, punk, jazz, and ethnic music combined with a powerful lyrical exploration. - dates

White Is Coming
HWPR reports: WHITE is the self-titled debut album from one of the most talked about bands to emerge from the Beijing underground in recent years. Produced by Blixa Bargeld at Einstόrzende Neubauten studios in Berlin, White is the starting point for a more widespread recognition of new music from China, and sets the benchmark for all others who follow. White is being released on Bargeld's OpenNote label this Summer, distributed in the U.S. by Ryko.

Together, Shenggy (KORG MS-20, drums, percussion, sampler, vocals) and Shou Wang (guitar, organ, pedals, dome theremin, vocals) have conjured a sound - part electronic shimmer, part cosmic industrialism - that arrives like a nocturnal transmission, complete with advertisements and radio static, through a neon rain. - more on this story
