While it would be cool to beat up Durst, having him in 'Fight Club' doesn't sound that cool.

PopPunk RIP?
New York Daily News reports: Is punk-pop pooped out? It looks that way. Four of the genre's former best-selling bands are falling down the charts.

Jimmy Eat World, the Used, Sum 41 and Good Charlotte which all broke through or sold well with their last CDs have seen their followups flag faster than they can change chords.

The result not only suggests the waning of this speedy and tuneful style. It points up the weakening power of rock radio to break albums without major help from a pop crossover.

Some of the groups have enjoyed major support frommodern-rock or mainstream-rock stations to little avail. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Beatles Love Children
Aversion reports: There may be more little Beatles around Northern England than we knew.

A BBC5 documentary alleges that The Beatles fathered children to prostitutes while living in Liverpool. The alleged paternity stems from charges from the band's publicist from 1963 to 1966, Tony Barrow, that the band's manager, Brian Epstein provided the act with call-girls before their high-profile marraiges. Some of the Fab Four's sex partners became pregnant and, according to Barrow, were paid off by Epstein to keep things quiet. - Click Here for the Full Story

Copyrights 101
BBC reports: Lessons on music piracy and copyright issues are to be taught to secondary school pupils in the UK.

The lessons, aimed at 11 to 14-year-olds, will introduce them to copyright infringement - including downloading from the internet and the illegal copying of CDs - and its role in protecting creativity.

Music piracy, including illegally swapping music online, costs the UK music industry millions every year and has been blamed for a decline in world-wide CD sales. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Stray Cats Still Rock
AP reports: The Stray Cats a band that was new wave and punk and rockabilly rolled into one had its heydey in the early '80s. But two decades on, it's clear the Cats, which was famous for its repeated dissolutions and reformations, still has the fire and drive of three skinny kids from Long Island trying to make it big in Britain.

Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker are at their peak on this DVD, "Rumble in Brixton," the final show of the band's 2004 European summer tour, and it's evident from the crowd that rumble in Brixton they did with scorching intensity. Murder Weapon Split
press release reports: Murder Weapon has officially decided to disband. This has left everyone at Martyr heartbroken, as for the past 2 years Murder Weapon has been a big part of our family. The guys will be playing one final show in Richmond on Dec. 26th. Below is the official statement about the break up from Scott.

"It's true. Murder Weapon has decided to call it quits. We've had a great time doing the band, but like they say, all good things must come to an end. There's no 'bad blood' (pardon the pun) between any of the band members. We all are still friends. All of us have a lot of responsibilities (work, school, etc.) outside of Murder Weapon, which essentially led to the break up. We regret not touring as much and not getting a chance to record our new material, but that's how it goes. Our last show is in Richmond on Dec 26th. Come out if you can. It's been real. Thanks to all our friends, Steve at Martyr, all the bands that helped us out along the way. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Clapton and Robert J
press release reports: Earlier this year, Eric Clapton released an album he has spent his whole musical life leading up to: "Me and Mr Johnson." Playing the songs of bluesman Robert Johnson, Clapton was able to fully express his lifelong love of Johnson's incredible music. But like with many things -- once you start them -- he found out he wasn't finished.

On "Sessions for Robert J," a DVD/CD release coming out December 7th on Duck/Reprise Records, Eric Clapton ups the ante even more, featuring live recordings done in 2004 in four different settings. They capture all the excitement of Clapton's love for one of the blues' greatest artists. On both DVD and CD, this is a unique collection for the ages.

The DVD, featuring 19 songs written by Robert Johnson, was filmed in rehearsal studios in England and Texas, as well as 508 Park Ave. in Dallas, where Robert Johnson actually recorded in 1937, and ends in a hotel room in Santa Monica, California. The studio tapings feature Clapton's full band, while the Park Ave. songs are performed by Clapton and guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, and the California segment is Clapton performing alone.

The DVD also includes exclusive interview segments and other rare footage of Clapton and his musicians rehearsing.[see full story to check out a video preview]- Click Here for the Full Story
