Drunk Idol
Day in Rock reports: There is speculation that Paula Abdul may have been under the influence during Tuesday night's broadcast of American Idol. The "let's praise everybody even when they stink" judge appeared to be slightly off her rocker on Tuesday night, while it wasn't exceedingly obvious, Abdul's mannerisms, off balance standing and almost fall at one point and slightly slurred speech during the broadcast did leave the question of her sobriety to skeptical eyes. The American Idol message boards are burning up with speculation on this matter. Perhaps the producers should just drop her, it's not like she gives the contestants worthwhile advice. Lying to them doesn't help! Then again what is Paula Abdul doing judging vocal talent in the first place? The karaoke gods may have the last laugh. See the full story link for some fan reaction and comments on Abdul's "condition" from previous episodes. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Prior Attack By Dimebag Killer
Blogcritics.org reports: The Columbus Dispatch (not available online) reported today that Nathan Gale, the paranoid schizophrenic Pantera fanatic and killer of Dimebag Darrell and three others at the Alrosa Villa club, jumped on the stage during a Damageplan show in Cincinnati on April 5, 2004, causing about $1,800 in damage to lights and other equipment during a struggle with bouncers. The band continued playing during the episode and charges were not filed against Gale in Cincinnati because band members did not want to have to return to the city for subsequent court dates. Eight months later he would do much worse.[more]- Click Here for the Full Story

F**K Esquire
Blabbermouth reports: A BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor by the name of Scott Whitt has sent in the following item:

"I just bought the latest issue of Esquire, April 2005. The last page is an article 'This Way Out' by Brian Frazer. In it he makes a joke out of the murder of Dimebag. There is a pyramid of 'Recommended Daily of Vice.' On the top is a section 'Use Sparingly' and in it is 'Shooting ex-guitarists from PANTERA.' I think it is horrible for someone to make light of this tragic situation. We in the metal community should voice this.
