Sony Helps Hackers

(Aversion) After a computer security expert revealed Sony-BMG's secret use of software to stop illegal copying opens up computers to attacks from hackers, computer miscreants proved it, launching trojans that take advantages of the weakness in the Sony software.

...Of more concern to users, it opens Windows machines up to attacks from hackers using Trojans, programs written that mask malicious code to sneak it onto unsuspecting machines. Two Trojans were discovered by BitDefender Labs yesterday (Nov. 10), preying upon British computers whose users unwittingly installed the software.
