Fast Times Revisited
Fanscape reports: Damone, a Boston based punk-metal band who scratch out non-radio friendly anthems that we'd recommend to anyone who ever liked Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Joan Jett or more recently Sahara Hotnights and Andrew WK. Anyone who appreciates big, fearless rock n roll will appreciate Damone. But they're not just arena rockers singing about rad parties and hot chicks, this band has teeth and claws and if they must, they'll use them to eat you. Oh yeah, and their frontman? Yeah, she's a woman but really that's neither here nor there, because she has the strength of ten men and a voice that proves it. Their new album, Out Here All Night, is one big rock n roll party and it will be released by Island recording group on May 23rd. Their entire new LP, Out Here All Night will be available at iTunes.com on Tuesday, March 21st, two months before the official release date. Preview their title track, "Out Here All Night" at the full story link - Click Here for the Full Story

Simon on Gay Aiken
Faded Youth reports: n one of those priceless made-for-TV-moments that only live TV can bring, interviewer Larry King asked American Idol judge Simon Cowell about the gay scandal surrounding former idol Clay Aiken.

King asks, "What about Clay Aiken and the possible lawsuits?" With a coy grin on his face, Cowell first played dumb, stating he didn't know much about it, an obvious dodge of a sensitive subject "Well I heard about this. I mean what are they saying that he..." King tried to prod him a bit further. "Came on with somebody." Cowell, grinning like a monkey, paused like a deer caught in the headlights. Finally, he responded with a quick dismissive reply "You hear all the rumuors, whatever. Then you hear the lawsuits are that you pretended to be straight or something. I mean it's just crazy, you know". [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Salty Reunion
Sleaze Roxx reports: In a recent interview with Sleaze Roxx, vocalist Jimmi Bleacher explained why a Salty Dog (which recorded one album for Geffen named Every Dog Has Its Day and featured future American Dog frontman Michael Hannon) reunion tour fell-through.

Says Jimmi, "I recently produced an Atlanta band called Buttonhook, and through their management I was being offered a House of Blues tour in kind of a win-win situation. I thought it would be a good venue to play so I called Mike, Khurt, and Pete. They all agreed. I wanted it to be of the caliber that I knew it could be, so I immediately began trying to get the band logistically together in California. I even began to book shows on the west coast to fund process. We consulted each other along the way, but it was proving too difficult to get anyone on the same page. So other things came up, and I just let it slide. If we would have continued the reunion, we would be leaving for that tour next week."

Jimmi also talked about his new music with bands such as MK Ultra (a rare unreleased demo can be heard at the full story link) and where he fits in with today's music scene.[see full story for the full interview]- Click Here for the Full Story
