GNR Reunion: Izzy and Axl
antiMusic reports: In a continuation of our TEXTing GNR special with Mark Strigl of Talking Metal we can report that there was a GNR family reunion during Wed night's concert in New York City when Original Guns N' Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin joined Axl and company on stage for a rendition of "Think About You" from the band's debut album "Appetite for Destruction" and later returned to play "Patience," followed by "Night Train" where they were also joined by Kid Rock. tinfoil reports: A new Trojan horse seeks out and wipes movies and MP3 music tracks that it believes are illegally distributing via file-sharing networks.

The Troj/Erazer-A Trojan horse scours folders used for peer-to-peer file-sharing peer-to-peer for AVI, MP3, MPEG, WMV, GIF, ZIP and other files. If files are found by the Trojan it wipes them, and plants a copy of itself in the folder using tempting names such as game.exe, goporn.exe, nero7.exe and officexpcrack.exe. Idol Boycott
TMZ reports: Ever since 'American Idol' favorite Chris Daughtry was voted off the show last week, attention has focused on which of the surviving contestants would win his fans' votes.

BBC reports: Digital music player maker Creative Technology has asked a US court to ban Apple from selling or marketing its iconic iPods in the US.

Reuters reports: One of the most influential American-spawned bands will be celebrated with the five-disc box set, "The Byrds: There is a Season."

CBR reports: Exploding onto the American music scene in 1987 with their debut album, "Yo, Bum Rush The Show," Public Enemy quickly became the most important hip-hop act to ever take the stage. Now, twenty years since first declaring that he swings a hammer like the Mighty Thor, Chuck, Flava and the rest of Public Enemy are set to be immortalized in comic book form with the first licensed Public Enemy comic dropping this summer.

Fair Warning Releases
Blabbermouth reports: Frontiers Records has announced the details of the European release of FAIR WARNING's reunion album, which has a working title of "Brother's Keeper".

The band, which currently consists of singer Tommy Heart, guitarist Helge Engelke, bassist Ule W. Ritgen and CC Behrens on drums, started working on the new songs in the fall 2005. In addition to this highly anticipated CD � scheduled for release in Europe on August 25, 2006 � Frontiers Records has announced the re-release of three back-catalog FAIR WARNING items. Steve Cooper RIP
BW&BK reports: Former S.A. SLAYER and JUGGERNAUT vocalist Steve Cooper, aged 47, passed away in the early morning hours of May 14th at a San Antonio, Texas hospital from complications due to kidney failure. KNAC reports: SPV have confirmed that the new Metal Church album, A Light In The Dark, will be released in Germany on June 16th, throughout Europe on June 19th, and in North America on June 27th.
