Godhead Week: Day 2
antiMusic reports: Underground industrial metal heroes Godhead release their latest album "At The Edge Of The World," this week and to celebrate we asked frontman Jason C. Miller to pick his favorite five tracks and tell us a little about each one.

But first he gives us this introduction, "I don't like revealing TOO much about my songs, because I like people to interpret them their own way, but I think I can give you my overall inspiration without spoiling it for others" Now here is Jason with today's song:

"The Decline": This is a rather bleak view of today's world. Some would say our entire society is in decline, and on some days I'm inclined to believe them. It's also a warning to stop procrastinating or you will be passed by.

Preview songs from the album, learn more about it and the group and more - right here!

Update: We updated the story after hearing back from Chip that some of the original information we reported wasn't finalized. When it is we will let you know. Sorry for the confusion but it's rock n' roll after all! -

A Expert Look at Dylan's Bootlegs
PR reports: Music journalist and culture critic Greil Marcus is best known for shedding new light onto rock music by referencing its impact in a broader spectrum of culture and politics. In 1997, he analyzed Bob Dylan bootlegs and dove into the subconscious of America in Invisible Republic: Bob Dylan's Basement Tapes.

This week on the Barnes & Noble Review, Marcus reviews Tell Tale Signs, the newest installment of rare and unreleased Dylan bootlegs from 1989-2006:

"The music Bob Dylan has made since 1992 has been based in a hunch that there is a body of American song, or an American ethos of expression, that is a constant. It's a scattered form that in words and metaphors, riffs and moans, hesitations and shouts, can always be rediscovered, and can rediscover and renew whoever remembers it, as if one can not only speak but listen in tongues."

My Ruin's Frontwoman Discusses The Accident That Almost Ruined Her Life
antiMusic reports: "There is something truly deep and heartfelt about this record, more so then anything that My Ruin has produced before. There is something more mature about the sound but yet it has lost none of its edge, or its evocative strength or most importantly its honesty and that is what makes My Ruin's music a cut above the rest." So says our very own Morley Seaver in his five star review of My Ruin's latest album, "Throat Full Of Heart". Morley also had the chance to talk with the group's frontwoman Tairrie B. recently about a wealth of topics. That full interview will be published on Friday but we wanted to give you a little taste of it. The following exchange is where Morley asks Tairrie about a major accident she was involved in and if there was any fall out from it.

Tairrie B: On September 29, 2006 I was the passenger in a car which swerved and hit a flatbed truck which was parked with a street cleaner on the back of it which had some sort of metal rod sticking out. The metal rod went through the passenger side window and ripped through my arm and tore it up from top to bottom. It all happened very fast and many of the details still come and go to this day. Sometimes it's hard for me to remember exactly what happened and sometimes it's very vivid. It's weird. I can't explain it. I was pulled from the car and began bleeding pretty badly on the street. I eventually passed out and when I woke up I was in the trauma room at Cedars Sinai Hospital and they were about to operate on me. I was covered up so I really had no idea how bad it all was and neither did Mick when he arrived however, the next day they said they were thinking about amputating my arm because the damage was so deep. I went through a few surgeries and a skin graft before I could really think about the idea of ever using my arm again. To be honest, I did not think it was going to happen for a very long time.

There really wasn't any fall out from my accident. In fact, oddly enough only really great things have happened to me since. Let's just say I have been very well taken care of on many levels thankfully. As for people's reactions to what happened, I think it brought me closer to certain people in and around my life and showed me that I have some truly amazing friends. It also reassured me that many of the decisions we have made over the previous two years were the right ones. I am glad we parted ways with many of the people from our past because it gave us the opportunity to meet new people who have become so important in our lives. Chris is one of those people. Besides my relationship with Mick, one of the things I have missed having within my former and present bands over the many years and various members who have come and gone was a real friendship with someone like the one I have developed with Chris these past 4 years.

The band is just about the hit the road! Check back here on Friday for the full interview and you can check them out on the road at the dates listed
