First new Limp guitarist Mike Smith pinched a nerve in his back on July 16th during a concert in New York City. Now front-monkey Fred Durst has also suffered a back injury while performing.
Launch reports that a source close to the band says that Durst injured a vertebra during the groups set last Friday (July 18th) in Maryland. The source also said that Durst received clearance to continue performing on tour with the aid of pain medication.
The Launch report also stated, The band's management and record company would not comment or confirm the injury, though it's believed that Durst's injury will not prevent the band from performing the rest of then shows scheduled on the Summer Sanitarium tour, which wraps up on August 10 in San Francisco.
Thats the good news. The bad news is the band has reportedly completed recording their new studio album (again) and that musical opus is expected to be released in September and may contain a cover of The Who classic Behind Blue Eyes. Launch says that the band has been performing that song as well as a new track called "Stick 'Em, during the Summer Sanitarium Tour.
