Lopez will not be a regular host of the show which is being modeled after the multi-hosted show The View, but she will however make occasional appearances.
The show is set to have four co-hosts and so far only one slot has been filled, that one with J.Los sister Lynda Lopez who brings experience on both radio and television to the table.
The show is supposed to be developed with young women in mind and be focused on issues the producers feel they care about, including coverage of news, pop culture, celebrity, beauty and fashion.
"A talk show hosted by a group of smart women with diverse opinions and varied interests is tremendously exciting," Jennifer Lopez said in a statement. "We are going to have a lot of fun!"
The show has yet to receive a name but
it is expected to go into syndication next Fall.
