Ferrell’s new film, "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" debuted this weekend and secured the No. 2 spot with an estimated gross of $28 million. The critically panned epic “King Arthur,” was a distant third with $15.2 million. While Michael Moore’s controversial “Fahrenheit 9/11” dropped two places to 4th with a estimated gross of $11 million.
The top five was rounded out by “The Notebook”, which brought in an estimated $6.53 million for its second weekend, just nudging “White Chicks” into 6th place with $6.5 million. The only other Top 10 debut this weekend went to “Sleepover” which squeaked into 10th place with $4.2 million.
