The news comes not from the Superjoint camp but from Deicide have signed on as support for the tour. According to the official Deicide website, the tour will kick off on April 8th in Sauget, IL. That first date will also feature Clutch.
Deicide had reason to celebrate this week when their latest album made an impressive debut on the charts. Deicide.com reports: In its first week out, Deicide's Earache debut, 'Scars Of The Crucifix', has debuted at #18 on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart in the U.S.. Meanwhile, on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart, 'Scars Of The Crucifix' clocked in with a #24 debut.
Hitting the charts higher than any other metal band, Deicide's debut on the charts is particularly impressive considering the utter extremity of the album. Arguably their strongest work since 'Once Upon The Cross', 'Scars Of The Crucifix' is an unquestionably crushing, blasphemous album built on bone-breaking death metal anthems of the highest order; in other words, it's the comeback of the year!
