'Death On The Road' chronicles Iron Maiden's December 2003 sold out show at the 14,000 capacity Westfalenhalle Arena in Dortmund, Germany, on the European leg of their 'Dance Of Death' World Tour, one of the most theatrical spectacles undertaken by the band in many years.
This CD release precedes the forthcoming 'Death on The Road' DVD of the concert, which band founder, bassist and perfectionist Steve Harris is still personally working on. The show was recorded and filmed during the Dance of Death European Tour in December 2003 and fully captures the magnificent stage production and electricity of the band's performance.
Says Manager Rod Smallwood, "Like Rock in Rio we have again decided to release a DVD and CD separately. Those who have DVD players will presumably opt for the DVD when available but we wanted to ensure that Maiden fans could at least get the audio of this tour as many don't have DVD players yet and some countries of the World do not have widespread capacity to play DVDs."

The CD was produced and mixed by Kevin "Caveman" Shirley and co-produced by Steve Harris.
Maiden have recently completed their Summer festival and stadium tour of Europe and North America and will be commencing work on a new studio album early next year
