(PR) Bay area guitarist Marcus Henderson has left the band Drist due to responsibilties with the upcoming sequel to the best-selling video game Guitar Hero, and reportedly has been offered a spot with a MAJOR metal act. Henderson recorded the majority of the guitar heard in the wildly popular video game series, Guitar Hero, and had this to say about his recent departure...

Dearest fans of Drist,

All good things must come to an end, and it's been fun as hell, but the ride has ended for me here at Drist-world. I am leaving the band to concentrate on increased responsibilties professionally and personally, and i truly wish the guys the best of luck in whatever they choose to do. Let me say that it has been an HONOR to rock your ears and hearts, and i personally thank everyone that bought our music and supported the band because of the success of Guitar Hero. You may not hear this anywhere else, but i truly appreciate every fan and truly hope you guys will join me on my further adventures in the sonic battle against mediocre music. What's coming up will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!!
