. (PR) Los Angeles veteran rapper Defari is confirmed to release his third solo album Street Music Tuesday, August 8th on famed indie hip-hop label ABB Records, the same label that released his first 12" single, "Bionic" in 1997.The first single off the new album is the Alchemist produced song "Make My Own," featuring Dilated Peoples emcee/ producer Evidence. A video for "Make My Own" is currently in production. Since leaving the now defunct Tommy Boy label, Defari hit the ground running with a countless number of collaborations, most notably his work on "Some L.A. ----s" featured on Dr. Dre's multi-platinum release Chronic 2001. In addition to nonstop touring with acts such as tha Alkaholiks, Xzibit, Little Brother and Dilated Peoples, he recently partnered up with DJ Babu (Dilated Peoples/ World Famous Beat Junkies) as the Likwit Junkies and released their first album, The L.J.'s, to much critical acclaim in publications like the Source, Scratch, and Elemental Magazine.
