. (PR) Sigur Ros have shown us that the Icelanders have the market in sweet, high pitched, yearing singing cornered; and we know from the Hives that bands from Sweden rock; and Norway has always led the metal world. But what about fellow Scandinavians the Danes?

They boast their own unique hybrid with Mew, a Danish band who blend epic rock with heavy guitars and ethereal vocals. Highly-acclaimed by their peers, and special guests of Bloc Party for their upcoming shows, Mew's new album is set for release in the US on July 25.
