Hailing from Los Angeles, Stimulator consists of singer Susan Hyatt, guitarist and producer Geoff Tyson, bassist Sean Tichenor and drummer Chad Stewart. Their first single, 78 Stimulator, is a hard rock/pop track that celebrates 1978, which the band refers to as the best year of rock and roll. The single is featured on the bands upcoming Universal Records album due for release February 2006. Founded by Susan Hyatt and Geoff Tyson, Stimulators quirky retro feel has helped them score high profile appearances with Duran Duran, Berlin, and Missing Persons. Influenced by the likes of Blondie, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie and Nirvana, Stimulators self described new wave 80s influenced modern pop and disco rock sound has helped them win the rock category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest as well as a spot on the 2004 Warped Tour. Stimulator is currently signed with indie label The Lab/Universal Records.
