Supernova has released three albums since 1991 and in June when they discovered the TV supergroup planned to use their name they sued CBS, those involved in the show and Mark Burnett Productions for unfair competition and trademark infringement. Rock Star Supernova is currently in the studio with producer Butch Walker recording their debut which Epic plans to release on November 21st. The band will head out on tour with support from The Panic Channel and the show's house band and contestants about a month later.
