Madonna, Guy Oseary and Ronnie Dashev collectively held 60% of the 12 year-old label but have reportedly sold their interest to Warner Music Group, which previously held the other 40% of the company.
Rumor had it that Madonna was planning to leave Warner Music but Maverick lawyer Bert Fields says that this deal has nothing to do with her recording contract. "It was an effective way of settling the lawsuit. It's clean and equitable, and it doesn't have anything to do with her record contract," he said according to Yahoo.
The label was originally started as an imprint for the material girl but expanded to include Alanis Morrisette, Erasure and The Prodigy
