Here they are with today's song: House- This song's lyrical content basically tells the story of a young girl in a small town who follows her dreams of moving to the big city in hopes of running away from a mundane existence. However, as she navigates and charms her way through the shallow, sycophantic big-city nightlife, she is confronted with all the things she dreamt of having and realizes it has a price.
We wanted the dynamic changes in the song to convey to the listener a sense of a story unfolding. The opening main, heavy riff was constructed with a rhythmic swing beat to give a general mood of nightlife sex, sleaze and hedonistic escapism.the ethereal passages were given a more dreamlike quality to feel like you were in the protagonist's head experiencing her unfolding, conflicted emotions. In the outro you hear the lyrics, ".in your house made of clay, with your walls crumbling inin your house made of flame, do you ever burn for Love?" This passage then builds leads into the massive, heavy conclusion. this was meant to give the listener an indication of the protagonist's inevitable mental and emotional breakdown. - Check out some of the songs from the CD, learn more about the band and once they've won you over you can buy the CD here as well.
