Basse is best known for his role as bassist/frontman for the LA based legendary metalheads, Black Sheep, who were staples of The Sunset Strip during the metal explosion of the '80s. Basse has now re-grouped and released a solo album "The Money Grind" on his own label New Empire Media. The album has an unapologetic approach to metal and emphasizes strong song writing skills that have been put on the backburner by most modern musicians.
Willie Basse's "The Money Grind" is currently making an impact at radio where the album has garnered adds from WKTA in Chicago, WRIF in Detroit, Extreme Radio in New York, KKFI in Kansas City. The album debuted on radio's FMQB charts and CMJ's Loud Charts with airplay at many stations right alongside metal gods Judas Priest. - more on this story
