The song is simple: boy meets girl, girl breaks up with boy, back together again, boy breaks up with girl, back together again, end and repeat. Now mix that up with post-graduatorial angst, deciding against law school, and still interning for the occasional free lunch while living in a closet, and you get "Just Impolite."
At the time the song was written, Plushgun did not exist. I was haphazardly attempting to compose for indie flicks, interning at a recording studio, and (when motivated enough) temping for rent. Confused 23 year old post-grads excel at data entry. The only stable part of my life was the predictable fluctuation of my love life, and essentially its breakdown is what caused "Just Impolite." I was confused, as is the song. Happy sounding music with rather defeatist lyrical embellishment serendipitously led to a song that was much deeper than its poppy melody.
