Mark Ronson Goes from Amy Winehouse Producer To Vocalist

(Gibson.com) British record producer Mark Ronson turns vocalist in the fall with the release of his third album, Record Collection, due September 28 on RCA Records. Billed as Mark Ronson and The Business Intl., Ronson will make his debut as a vocalist on the song "Lose It (in the End)" and the title track (written by Nick Hodgson of Kaiser Chiefs), alongside Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes.

The album features over 30 collaborators in total, including contributions from Boy George on "Somebody to Love Me" and R&B singer D'Angelo on "Glass Mountain Trust."

Mark Ronson, stepson of Foreigner's Mick Jones, is best known as a producer for Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera and Lily Allen. Ronson will play a series of six U.K. shows the week of the album's release. -
