Paul Di'Anno Threatens Iron Maiden Haters

(Rock AAA) Former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di'Anno says that, contrary to popular belief, he has a good relationship with his ex-bandmates and he'll "punch out" anyone who slags them off.

Di'Anno appeared on the metal icons' first two albums before being replaced by Bruce Dickinson in 1981. Over the years he's made some strong statement suggesting his dislike for Maiden and the band's moneymaking policies, but he now suggests his feelings were misguided.

"I love Steve and Dave Murray. We were like a gang, and always in trouble. The problem is we all live in other countries. When they came to Brazil Stevie and Bruce were looking for me, but I was out touring," He tells Guitar International. "Bad press says we all hate each other. It's not true. I quit the band because of the ethics we all need to make money, but there's making money and exploitation of money, and that's the only quip I have about Maiden." more on this story
