Free Yr Radio Live With KEXP at CMJ
. On October 20, 21 and 22, the public is invited to join KEXP DJs John in the Morning and Cheryl Waters in person or over the airwaves from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) for a FREE series of live and intimate performances from artists including DeVotchKa, The Drums and a DJ set by Moby. Now in its fourth year, Free Yr Radio has brought together scores of independent stations including KEXP, The Current, and KUSF with some of the country's top artists including Yeasayer, Calexico, and Sonic Youth, in a series of activities developed to specifically build support of and access to independent radio. This year, Free Yr Radio is making appearances at the nation's best music festivals, including Siren Fest, Lollapalooza, Mile High, Outside Lands, Bumbershoot, the Voodoo Experience, and CMJ.
