John Lennon's Killer Denied Parole

Mark David Chapman, the man who murdered John Lennon' was again denied parole in New York. Gibson has more:

This December will mark the 30th anniversary of the former Beatle's murder at the hands of Chapman. He is now 55 and is serving a 20-years-to-life sentence at the maximum-security Attica Correctional Facility. Chapman will next be up for parole in August of 2012.

Three parole board commissioners from the New York State Division of Parole had a video conference with Chapman. The three-member panel told the convicted killer about their resistance to his parole, because of "the disregard you displayed for the norms of our society and the sanctity of human life." They concluded that Chapman's "discretionary release remains inappropriate at this time and incompatible with the welfare of the community." - more on this story
