Lacy Gibson RIP
. Gibson was born in North Carolina and learned to play guitar from his mother. He moved to the Windy City when he was just 13 and played alongside legendary players such as T-Bone Walker, Matt "Guitar" Murphy and Lefty Bates. He also served as a session player and sideman for Ray Charles, Buddy Guy and Willie Dixon. Some of Gibson's recordings include the album Wishing Ring, made with Sun-Ra (when the two were brothers-in-law) and the Chess Records single "My Love is Real," which featured Guy. more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
