(Gibson) Jane's Addiction members Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins recently were inducted into the Guitar Center RockWalk in Hollywood by Tom Morello. The Rage Against the Machine guitarist lauded the long-running rockers, and said they deserve the credit usually given to a certain Seattle band.

"Nirvana often gets credit for being the first 'alternative' band to break through, the band that changed music and led rock out of the hair metal wilderness of the '80s," Morello said, according to Spinner.com. "That's just not true. It was Jane's Addiction: Inspiring, intelligent, furiously rocking and artistically deep as [expletive]."

Farrell was obviously touched by Morello's words. "That speech made me sound so damn good, I don't need to look in the mirror ever again," he said. "Just play that over and over every morning." more on this story
