Steven Van Zandt Returning To The Mafia
. As an actor Van Zandt is best known as Silvio Dante in The Sopranos. Speaking from Norway, he recently told the Daily Record: "The Sopranos was one of those things. We had a really good run and you couldn't be too sad about it. I mean, we did seven seasons in 10 years and 10 years is a big chunk of your life. "It was probably time to move on. I wouldn't have, of course. I would have played that gangster for the rest of my life. I loved that character. In fact, I loved it so much, I took this other job playing a gangster here in Norway." Van Zandt explained the outline of his character. "I play a New York gangster who goes into the witness protection program and chooses Lillehammer, Norway," he said. "It was such a good idea because Norway is a very straight place. It is a real monoculture of five million people." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
