Aerosmith Explains Why New Album Took So Long
. The footage presents a behind-the-scenes look as the Boston rockers create their first new album in more than a decade. In episodes 6 and 7 of the series, guitarist Joe Perry talks about the length of time it took to put the project together. "Music is forever. When you record it, it's there forever. We just don't know any other way to do that," Joe explains. "The reason it took a year was because we had a tour to do in the middle of it. If you had compressed what we did from the time we started last summer til we wrapped it up in Californiaif you had taken away the tour and taken away Steven's time on [American] Idol, it probably would have taken two or three months to make the record." more on this story hennemusic is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
