Asia Plan Live TV Special
. Fans and viewers can expect a compelling live show, including material from Asia's current CD, XXX, as well as their classics including "Heat Of The Moment," "Only Time Will Tell," and "Sole Survivor," among others. Says Asia's John Wetton: "This is a great opportunity for ASIA and our fans. It will allow us to bring our new live show into the homes of millions of music fans, in a state-of-the-art format." "I'm excited that AXS TV can be part of Asia's 30 year celebration. A great band that is going to make a lot of AXS TV viewers very, very happy," says AXS TV Chairman Mark Cuban. Shot with 9 high-definition cameras, with state-of-the-art 5.1 Surround sound, ASIA's AXS TV concert will air in its two-hour entirety. AXS TV will be broadcast from ASIA's highly anticipated XXX tour, celebrating the band's 30th Anniversary. In 2006, the original line-up of keyboardist Geoffrey Downes; guitarist Steve Howe; lead vocalist and bassist John Wetton; and drummer Carl Palmer reunited after 23 years apart, for what they thought would be a single US tour. The band has remained together since, cutting three acclaimed studio albums (Phoenix, Omega, and the recently released XXX album) and completing several successful tours. The band's 1982 debut album, which will soon be commemorated with a prestigious box set, was the biggest selling record of that year, and held the #1 position on Billboard's Top 100 chart for an astounding 9 weeks.
