David Bowie Inspired Eric Clapton's New Album Name

(hennemusic) Eric Clapton reveals that David Bowie inspired the title of his new album, "Old Sock." While Clapton was considering names for the record, he came across Bowie's new song, "Where Are We Now?," on the BBC News.

"The construction of the song gave me cold chills; it is seriously good," said Clapton. "I called the office and said 'can you send a message to David's office and just say 'thank you for writing such a beautiful song.'"

"Every now and then I feel compelled to do this when something gets me," he continued. "And he came back, 'Thanks for the shout out, old sock´┐Żreally appreciate it.' And then I thought, 'there it is' [the title for my new album]." more on this story
