Matt Sorum Happy In New Supergroup

(Classic Rock) Ex Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum is much happier working with supergroup Kings of Chaos than going through the pain of starting a new band.

The outfit includes fellow ex-GnR men GIlby Clarke and Duff McKagan alongside Sebastian Bach, Joe Elliott, Glenn Hughes and Collective Soul's Ed Roland.

Sorum says: "I haven't really got the energy to go and try and create a band. I mean, how many bands do I have in my back pocket? I'd rather just get a bunch of great guys together that everybody knows and go and play a bunch of shows to 60,000 people.

"Velvet Revolver took us 18 months to build up. I don't really want to go on the road for 18 months any more, which will basically kill you unless you're doing hard drugs and I don't do hard drugs any more. This idea that I came up with is like a release for the other guys." More rock news
