. The show, set in prohibition-era Atlantic City, has previously featured music from the 1890s to 1920s performed by Regina Spektor, Louden Wainwright III, Catherine Russell and more who all appeared on the show's first soundtrack, the Grammy-winning Boardwalk Empire Volume 1. The National's singer Matt Berninger is one of many who lent his baritone voice for one of the songs off the forthcoming Boardwalk Empire Volume 2, singing the 1924 standard "I'll See You In My Dreams," originally written by Isham Jones.
