Christina Perri Announces New Album 'Head or Heart'
. Yesterday (December 9), Perri announced her new album, Head or Heart, will be out March 11. Back in January, Perri told Radio.com that her new material, which she wrote while on tour in 2011, will be "more mature." "I've grown so much as a musician," she said. "I'm thinking of drum parts and basslines and things I've never thought of before. I feel like I've grown ten years in two." But at the same time, she's not looking to totally reinvent herself just yet. "It's me," Perri said. "I'm still writing them all so it's definitely going to sound like me and be consistent with album one, but I've had vocal chord surgery since album one, which made it so much better and stronger." She gave fans a hint of what's to come last month with the release of her new piano ballad, "Human," where she's sounding a bit more somber, telling her lover, "Your words in my head/Your knives in my heart/You build me up and then I fall apart." Perri has also announced she's hitting the road this spring, kicking things off in Denver on April 4. Full list of tour dates here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
