. I got gold was inspired by my father and the musical he recently finished about gold mining in Colorado called Billy Baloo. In recording the song I was imagining a steamboat rolling down the Mississippi like the one I rode on when I was 15. I still remember the drummer in the Jazz band that was playing on it. I'm still trying to match that rhythm. Anyway, hope you enjoy the song. I did finally get a pickup truck after writing it, but I sold it to buy a school bus. So it goes.' Hearing is believing.
