Deap Vally Deliver White Stripes-Meets-Led Zeppelin Video
. Deap Vally are two girls from Los Angeles Lindsey Troy (guitar, vocals) and Julie Edwards (drums, vocals) who explain their modus operandi thusly: "We are Valley Girls. We sing the blues. We play rock'n'roll. We sweat. We move. We groove. We are Deap Vally." Remarkably, Troy and Edwards did actually first meet at a needlework class last year. Currently playing European dates with Mumford & Sons, and with an appearance at this year's Coachella Festival in the bag, Deap Vally will return to play London's Scala on May 22 with support from the Family Rain. The girls will also appear at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals. Deap Vally are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, Sistrionix, with Lars Stalfors (the Mars Volta). The record will be released by Communion/Island Records this summer, more news of which soon. Check out the clip and see if you agree with the description "a scuzzy White Stripes-meets-Led Zeppelin rock'n'roll duo" here. Classic Rock Magazine is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
