Kanye West Curses In Front of Fake Jesus at Yeezus Tour Opener
. To start, his tour merch includes shirts with the grim reaper/skeleton holding a scythe draped in a tattered Confederate Flag, often viewed as a symbol of racism. According to Complex, (via the Instagram of Kanye's creative director Virgil Abloh) Kanye's shirts also include a skeleton praying above a Yeezus logo done up like the classic Metallica logo. Kanye also brought up a Jesus look-a-lke on stage. After performing under a black jewel-encrusted mask for most of the show, Jonathan Zwickel of Stereogum said of the moment, "After 90-some minutes of anonymity, Kanye stripped off the mask and came face-to-face with the object of his quest: 'White Jesus!' he said to the robed, White Jesus-looking dude who strode beatifically onto the stage. 'Holy s***! I've been looking for you my whole life! And f***, I just said 's***' in front of Jesus!" Watch the introduction to Kanye's Yeezus tour and see photos here.
