Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore Releasea New Song From Upcoming Album

(Radio.com) One of Sonic Youth's founding members, Thurston Moore, has announced he will release a solo album, The Best Day, on Oct. 21. And he's made the first single available to go with it.

The track, "The Best Day," is the album's title track. It, along with the full album, was recorded with James Sedwards, Deb Googe (of My Bloody Valentine) and Steve Shelley.

It goes on to say the album will also include a few all-instrumental tracks performed solely by Moore. Moore and his band will tour as well, beginning this September across America, Europe and Asia. Check out the new song here.
