. "What inspired me as a kid was really was illustrating my thoughts on that sheet of paper," he says to begin the video. Paper in hand, Kendrick then spits off a few a cappella rhymes, taking a page from Forrest Gump's book explaining, "Life is like a box of chocolates/ Quid pro quo something for something that's the obvious / Flow so sick, don't you swallow it." Kendrick keeps flowing, changing things up, taking the pen to the pad to cross things out and re-write.
