Goldfrapp Film To Hit Theaters
. Inspired by Goldfrapps' latest album Tales of Us, released in September 2013, the event features a striking, 30-minute filmic journey through five of the individual stories featured on the album. The film will be followed immediately by an exclusive live performance of classic Goldfrapp songs as well as selections from Tales of Us, transmitted into cinemas from the legendary Air Studios in London. The five stories, Stranger, Laurel, Jo, Drew and Annabel, interconnect subtly, sharing themes of love, loss, madness and identity, taking the viewer on a unique musical journey. The "Tales of Us" film was co-created by Alison Goldfrapp and director/writer Lisa Gunning ("Nowhere Boy," "Seven Psychopaths," "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen"). The marque creative team behind the live cinematic event includes Executive Producer Catherine Ugwu, MBE (Executive Producer of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies), critically acclaimed set designer Shona Heath (Dior, Valentino, Prada) who also created the iconic owl that graced Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree album artwork and lighting designer Rob Sinclair (Vampire Weekend, Pet Shop Boys). Encore events will take place in additional theatres across the country on March 25 and 27. For more information, including theatre locations and tickets to both the March 4 premiere event as well as the March 25 and 27 encore performances, please visit www.goldfrapp.com/film
