Christina Perri Releases New Song 'I Believe', Reveals Artwork For Album
. Earlier this month she dropped the first single off the album, piano ballad "Human." On Monday (Dec. 30) she revealed a second song called "I Believe." The album closer and an uplifting track, on "I Believe" Perri asserts "this is not the end of me, this is the beginning." Written for her performance as a part of three California shows with To Write Love On Your Arms, a non-profit organization which aims to present hope for people struggling with addiction, self-injury and thoughts of suicide, Perri never intended for the song to be on her album. While writing the album TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski reached out to Perri about performing on their tour but since she was busy recording, she wasn't able to make the tour. "Because I work with that charity so much and because I believe in the people who belong to that organization I wanted to do it really badly, but because I was writing and working every day in studios I couldn't so I said, 'I can't do your tour, but I can do your three California shows happily.' And he's like, 'Great! You'll headline the show,'" she told Radio.com. Perri wanted to do something special for the three shows so she decided to sit down and write a new song that she would debut at the concert. "I remember sitting in my house and I said, 'I have to make a show that is fresh. I just came off touring and a lot of the people in the audience came to my shows so I have to make something special for them,'" she recalled. "Not to mention, I had so many of the issues this organization deals with as a teenager and as a young women and that I continue to deal with daily. I felt very, very connected emotionally to this topic." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
