(Radio.com) Despite being well known by country and pop fans alike, even Darius Rucker needs his ID to get into a bar. Last Monday (June 2), Rucker hosted his fifth annual Darius and Friends benefit concert to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.

Friends Clint Black, Eli Young Band, David Nail, Cassadee Pope, Kenny Rogers, Corey Smith and Thompson Square took the stage to perform, and once the show wrapped he headed to the Red Door for an after-party.

According to The Boot, Rucker left his ID on his bus and the bouncer refused him entry. Even Rucker's bodyguard attempted to persuade the establishment to let him in, but to no avail.

Rather than press the issue further, Rucker and his crew calmly left. Rucker has raised over $225,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and says it's a cause close to his heart. more on this story
