Jack White Earns Second No. 1 Album and Breaks Record
. White's sophomore solo album, "Lazaretto," sold 137,732 copies in the U.S. during its first week of release, sending it to the top of the Billboard 200 album chart. White's first solo album "Blunderbuss" also debuted at No. 1 on the chart when it was released in 2012. The new record also broke a record for first week sales. The vinyl Ultra LP version of the album sold 40,000 copies last week, giving it the biggest first week vinyl sales since SoundScan began their modern album sales tracking in 1991. Fans across the globe can catch White live as he has launched a world tour in support of "Lazaretto". The European and UK tour leg runs until early July and includes stops in Dublin, Somerset, Paris, Amsterdam, London and Gdynia. The North American summer tour leg is scheduled to kick off on July 19th in Louisville, KY at the Forecastle Festival and will conclude on September 17th in Boston, MA at The Bleacher Theater at Fenway Park. White will then take a few weeks off before performing at the Corona Capital Festival in early October. He will head back to the UK in November for a series of additional dates.
