Feds Move To Have Insane Clown Posse's Lawsuit Dismissed

. (Radio.com) Insane Clown Posse's lawsuit against a report that classified their fan base as a gang may end up getting shot down. In 2011, the Federal Bureau of Investigation made Detroit rap group Insane Clown Posse and their fans, known as Juggalos, the subject of an extensive report that classified their fan base as a "loosely organized hybrid gang," with warnings that they'd begun expanding across the country and were known to "exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity and violence."

Titled "National Gang Threat Assessment: Emerging Trends," the report greatly angered ICP and the group filed a lawsuit against the F.B.I., claiming that the F.B.I. and the American Justice Department made an "unwarranted and unlawful decision" to tag its followers as criminals and subsequently treating them as such.

According to Billboard, the U.S. Justice Department is taking another stand against the act as it asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit, claiming the duo has no standing to sue. Insane Clown Posse stand by their suit, claiming that they're losing fans because of the F.B.I. report. more on this story
