Black Sabbath Confirm Hyde Park Performance

(Classic Rock) Black Sabbath have confirmed that they will be making their first-ever appearance at London's Hyde Park - they'll headline the British Summer Time festival on July 4.

They're to be joined on the bill by Soundgarden, Faith No More, Motorhead and many others at what will the opening show of a 10-day multi-genre extravaganza.

Organizers have renamed the first night Black Sabbath Time in honor of the headline act. And frontman Ozzy Osbourne says he's delighted to return to London after a whirlwind year that saw them reclaim their heavy metal throne with award-winning album 13.

Ozzy says, "The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in - I spent the advance I got for the first album on a new pair of shoes and some Brut aftershave. Almost 50 years on, we're doing a bit better for ourselves, so I may even splash out on some new aftershave before taking to the stage at Hyde Park." more on this story
